The Brand
SVLB was born in 2018 during an extraordinary expedition: the PolarQuest 2018 scientific mission, organized by the National Research Council (CNR) of Rome and CERN of Geneva. This mission explored the Svalbard archipelago to study pollution, cosmic rays, and search for the missing airship of Umberto Nobile. This journey provided deep inspiration for the brand.
After the mission, the SVLB team launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, marking the first major step towards success. The brand quickly gained international recognition by participating in prestigious trade shows like Pitti in Florence and ISPO in Munich, swiftly securing distributors in Japan and Germany. Our journey into the world of exploration had just begun.
Global Collaborations and Our Philosophy
SVLB stands out not only for its technical clothing designed for extreme climates but also for its ability to collaborate with influential figures in the world of exploration. The brand has worked with Eleonora Del Pra, a renowned explorer who wore our garments during her adventures in Patagonia. We have also outfitted Vincenzo Venuto, the host of the TV program Melaverde, who explored and shared the wonders of the world wearing SVLB.
Moreover, our clothing has been worn by content creators in remote destinations like Iceland, Everest, and the Faroe Islands. This has allowed us to tell a story that goes beyond simple apparel, bringing the concept of exploration and adventure to every corner of the planet.
