Care

Over time, copper oxidizes and therefore needs to be cleaned from time to time. Lime or lemon juice, or a small piece of tamarind, can be used as a cleaner. The acidic properties of the fruit will restore the copper to its original shine. Do not use abrasive sponges to clean the inside of the bottle, as they may scrape off the copper. Avoid using soap or chemical detergents inside the bottle.

Editor Notes

Copper with its oligodynamic effects has the ability to destroy bacteria, microorganis and even some viruses, as demonstrated by studies conducted by the EPA (USA) and the University of Southampton (UK).
Furthermore, according to Ayurvedic tradition, water stored in copper containers purifies and detoxifies your stomach to ensure proper waste and toxin elimination. It is believed to regulate liver and kidney functions and ensure the absorption of nutrients from food. An infusion of water stored in copper containers is also considered a preventative measure for common stomach infections. To obtain health benefits, it is recommended to store water and other beverages for at least 4-5 hours.
